Role
We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to deliver continuous integration, continuous deployment, and infrastructure automation for IT transformation programmes supporting a large telecom client.
The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, technically strong, and comfortable working in a fast-paced Agile environment. The role involves designing, implementing, and supporting CI/CD pipelines, automating AWS infrastructure, improving deployment processes, and enabling application teams to adopt DevOps best practices.
You will work in a highly challenging enterprise environment and should be comfortable navigating complex production systems while delivering solutions within stringent timelines. Strong communication skills, continuous learning, and a passion for automation are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain enterprise-scale CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Deploy, manage, and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure for production workloads.
- Implement infrastructure automation using Ansible, Terraform, and scripting.
- Work closely with development, QA, infrastructure, and operations teams to improve release processes.
- Build deployment automation supporting microservices and containerized applications.
- Monitor deployment health and troubleshoot production deployment issues.
- Implement security best practices, secrets management, and IAM controls across AWS environments.
- Participate in production releases, change management, and incident resolution.
- Support high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and resiliency initiatives.
- Evaluate DevOps tools and recommend improvements to engineering practices.
- Create technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to engineering teams.
Desired Candidate Profile
- 7+ years of DevOps experience.
- Strong hands-on AWS infrastructure experience.
- Excellent Jenkins and CI/CD expertise.
- Strong Terraform and Ansible automation experience.
- Hands-on Kubernetes/EKS administration.
- Strong troubleshooting and production support skills.
- Experience working in enterprise-scale production environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced Agile environment.
