Role Overview GCP Cloud Engineer builds and maintains cloud-native systems. They bridge the gap between development, operations, and security teams
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Management: Provision and manage GCP compute, storage, and networking services using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform
Container Orchestration: Manage containerized workloads and clusters using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Docker
CI/CD Pipelines: Build and maintain automated build, test, and deployment pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins
Security & Compliance: Enforce least-privilege access via Identity and Access Management (IAM), manage secrets, and configure Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) firewalls.
Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Track system health and performance using Google Cloud Monitoring and Logging
Required Skills and Qualifications
GCP Core Services: Hands-on experience with Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, VPC, and Cloud DNS.
Automation & Scripting: Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go.
Experience: 3+ years in IT infrastructure or cloud computing, with at least 2 years focused directly on GCP.
Certifications: Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect
