Job Summary
- As a key member of the team, ensure success in designing, building and migrating applications, software, and services on the AWS platform
- Lead the architectural discussions and design exercises to create large scale solutions built on AWS and also be part of the development lifecycle.
- Identity workarounds for specific issues and corner scenarios observed during migration
- Lead the Automation of solutions for repeatable problems
- Work closely with application teams to ensure business functionality and SLAs are met
Basic Qualifications
- At 8+ years of IT experience most of which will have been in helping the design and implementation of the software suite/module.
- 4+ years on any Cloud Platform (AWS preferred).
- Should be able independently implement different deployment patterns
- Should be able independently implement secrets management using Vault, SSM secret manager etc.
- Strong hands on experience in Python/Shell/Powershell along with coding standards
- Should be able independently develop Infrastructure automation using Cloud Formation, Ansible, Terraform, CDK etc.
- Strong hands-on experience on pipeline implementation with multiple stages using tools like Code Build, Code Pipeline, Jenkins, Team city etc.
- Should have hands on experience on Configuration management using Ansible/ Chef/ Puppet
- Should be able independently implement metrics and alerts and take remediation steps as needed
- Implementing experience with primary AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, Route53 & S3)
- Deep hands-on experience leading the design, development and deployment of business software at scale.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Solutions Architect/DevOps/SysOps Certified
- Strong practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment.
- Experience in programming languages like Java/Python.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
- Integration of AWS cloud services with on-premise technologies from Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP etc.
