We are looking for an experienced Cloud Security Consultant (GCP/AWS) to join our team in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud security principles, particularly within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS), and a proven track record of securing cloud environments. This is a hands-on role requiring a mix of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and strong communication to collaborate with various teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, conduct (Security Assessment) and manage cloud security architectures for GCP and AWS environments.
- Develop and enforce security best practices and policies for cloud infrastructure.
- Conduct security risk assessments, audits, and compliance reviews to ensure cloud environments meet organizational security standards.
- Identify security gaps and vulnerabilities, and apply appropriate measures such as firewalls, encryption, and multi-factor authentication.
- Collaborate with DevOps and cloud engineering teams to integrate security in cloud deployment pipelines (CI/CD).
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using cloud-native security tools and services.
- Ensure regulatory compliance such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS in cloud operations.
- Lead incident response efforts to contain and remediate security breaches in a cloud environment.
- Advise on security-related technology investments and cloud security architecture improvements.
Required Skills:
- Strong expertise in cloud security architecture and implementation for GCP and AWS.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud security tools such as AWS GuardDuty, AWS WAF, GCP Security Command Center, IAM (Identity and Access Management), VPC, and encryption mechanisms.
- Solid understanding of security concepts such as firewalls, VPNs, encryption, intrusion detection, and incident response.
- Experience in network security, identity management, data protection, and vulnerability management.
- Proficient with CI/CD pipelines and integrating security measures into DevOps processes.
- Hands-on experience with security automation and scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) and ensuring compliance in cloud environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud security issues.
Good to Have:
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Security Specialty, GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer, CISSP, CEH.
- Knowledge of container security in platforms like Kubernetes or Docker.
- Experience with cloud-native security monitoring tools like AWS CloudTrail, CloudWatch, GCP Stackdriver.
- Prior experience with security in hybrid cloud environments.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in cloud security with GCP and AWS.
- Strong understanding of cloud security architecture and best practices.
- Proven experience in managing and securing cloud environments.
