This team will focus on product development, product strategy and Cloud Operations for Oracle Health while building out a complete platform supporting modernized, automated healthcare. As part of the AMS (Application Management Services) cloud Engineering/operations team looking for a Senior Manager to lead team in Oracle India. As a key member of this leadership team, one will use their broad experience to solve problems and implement new engineering and operational efficiencies that benefit the company. This individual will need to collaborate effectively with internal collaborators and cross-functional teams across multiple geographies.
The ideal candidate must have a strong leadership track record, and will draw upon critical thinking and problem solving skills to effectively manage tactical and strategic challenges. It is essential that the individual be able to quickly establish trust and respect throughout the organization at all levels, and be viewed as a strong partner. The individual must have deep experience in managing engineering and operations organizations. The Cloud Engineering & Operations team is devoted to creating solutions that provide frictionless onboarding to cloud services, enabling Oracle Life Sciences to optimize usage and enhance productivity. Enable global teams to design and implement services that automate critical experiences and leverage data to promote operational excellence across. Drive availability and mean-time-to-recovery improvements through company-wide Incident and Change processes and serve as a center of excellence for Cloud related technologies and capabilities. Oracle's uses its Oracle Cloud Infrastructure offering to operate at high scale in a broadly distributed single & multi-tenant cloud environment. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is an IaaS that delivers on-premises, high-performance computing power to run cloud native and enterprise company’s IT workloads. OCI provides real-time elasticity for enterprise applications by combining Oracle's autonomous services, integrated security, and serverless compute available for public cloud
Role Expectations:
- Bachelors’ / Master's degree required, with equivalent experience
- 15+ years of solid experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure and SaaS operations
- Manage 24x7 support team, and lead SMEs of Infrastructure and SaaS operations teams to manage required Service SLAs through Change Management, Incident Management and Problem Management.
- Accountable and responsible for day to day management of SaaS applications availability and and SLA (Service Levels Agreement) management, Problem and Change management
- Participate in regular Audits reviews as required by the business and ensure customers commitments and SLAs are met at all levels. Any audit findings/actions are implemented as part of the operational efficiency
- Work closely with the product/security team to meet security compliance to resolve security vulnerabilities (if any) across customer environments.
- Co-ordinate with Risk Management compliance team & business collaborators to implement policies and procedures for Business Continuity Planning (BCP) & DR strategies
- Provides infrastructure services vision towards cloud operations, enabling innovation and seeks to use IT trends that can create business value - eg. DevOps implementation of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), develop automations, system monitoring etc
- Enable teams to drive technology transformation to deliver SaaS to customers with customer focus as top priority
- Deliver best-in-class infrastructure engineering operations solutions and processes
- Drive the adoption of automation and end-to-end solutions within the team, with focus on continuous improvements
- Be the proponent and ensure the adoption of automated preventive maintenance to pro-actively manage the infrastructure and ensure overall system stability
- Be the Architect of Cloud Infrastructure and continuously find opportunities for consolidation of technology platforms, automation, cost savings, and service quality improvement
- Able to operate successfully in a fast-paced production environment, and to create a vision and organization that can scale quickly

Qualifications:
- A good academic background with B.E/B.Tech/MCA degree In Engineering/Management from one of the top Engineering Institutes
- 15+ years of overall experience
- Proven expertise in supporting 24*7 SaaS applications both single and multi-tenant, focusing on high scalability, availability and extensibility
- Experience in hiring, engaging and retaining high performance teams
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, good with people, ability to negotiate
- Good experience of working with globally distributed teams in a collaborative and productive manner and 15+ yrs of overall experience out of which at least 6 yrs of leading and growing technical teams
- Possess and demonstrate strong written and oral communication, influencing/negotiating skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders
- Excellent technology skills background in cloud engineering and operations roles
- Solid technical background in Windows/Linux/Unix, web technologies, networking, database technologies and replication, storage/network management.
- Experience working with fault tolerant, highly available, high throughput, distributed, scalable systems
- Proven track record of successfully leading Cloud based service delivery organization toward compliance for compliance standards
- Possess experience in working OCI Infrastructure (or equivalent), APM Monitoring, OCI Log Analysis tools and knowledge like ELK, Prometheus, Grafana etc
- Experience with Disaster recovery, Windows/Linux/Unix, web technologies, scaling up or scaling down experience
- Have deep understanding of cloud computing concepts/technologies & Devops in the areas of SaaS, IaaS etc like Compute, Storage, Network and leading critical initiatives to manage SaaS products
- Ability to think end-to-end, lead long-term programs, and manage multiple programs simultaneously across numerous organizations
- Experience in growing an organization and attracting, hiring and maintaining top talent and developing and coaching team members
- Possess some preferred Certification(s) :
- CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing & Switching)
- MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert)
- RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer)
- RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator)

- Understanding of relational database concepts, good grounding in Oracle SQL and query optimization. Experience with Oracle Database a strong plus
- Working knowledge of web services, Apache, Tomcat, Java, WebLogic and Application servers experience
- Hands on experience supporting Web Applications, REST and SOAP API
- Other cloud environments working experience is preferred
