As a Cloud Solutions Architect at
our client, you'll work closely with IT teams, developers, and project managers to build cloud architectures that are secure, scalable, and efficient. From infrastructure design to deployment strategy, your role will be critical in creating cloud-based solutions that enhance the organization's capabilities and support long-term goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Implement Cloud Architectures:
- Develop and implement cloud-based solutions tailored to meet the company's technical and business requirements. You'll create architectures that integrate seamlessly with current systems while preparing for future scalability
- Evaluate and Recommend Cloud Technologies:
- Assess emerging cloud technologies and provide recommendations for tools and platforms that enhance infrastructure, cost-efficiency, and security. You'll keep the company at the forefront of cloud technology by integrating best-in-class solutions
- Ensure Security and Compliance:
- Implement security protocols and compliance standards to protect cloud infrastructure and data. You'll ensure adherence to industry standards such as ISO, GDPR, or specific regulatory requirements relevant to the business
- Collaborate with Development and Operations Teams:
- Work closely with DevOps and software development teams to design CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments. You'll facilitate smoother deployments and ensure that systems are robust and maintainable
- Optimize Cloud Cost and Performance:
- Develop strategies for cost management and optimization of cloud resources. You'll identify opportunities to improve performance and reduce operational expenses through resource allocation, autoscaling, and monitoring
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
- Create infrastructure templates using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation to enable quick, consistent, and replicable deployments. You'll support a version-controlled infrastructure that enhances agility and reduces deployment time
- Stay Current with Cloud Trends and Technologies:
- Keep updated on the latest advancements in cloud computing, container orchestration, serverless architectures, and hybrid cloud solutions. You'll integrate new practices and technologies to maintain the company's competitive edge
Requirements
Required Skills:
- Cloud Platform Expertise: Extensive experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), including deploying, managing, and scaling applications. You're adept at using cloud services to architect solutions that are both secure and cost-effective
- Infrastructure Design and IaC Proficiency: Proficiency in designing cloud-based infrastructure and using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation. You understand how to create reproducible, scalable cloud environments
- Security and Compliance Knowledge: Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices, including identity management, data encryption, and compliance frameworks such as GDPR and HIPAA. You're skilled at ensuring that cloud infrastructure meets stringent security and regulatory standards
- Collaboration and Communication Skills: Proven ability to work cross-functionally with developers, DevOps engineers, and stakeholders to align cloud architecture with business goals. You can effectively communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical teams
- Performance Optimization and Cost Management: Expertise in optimizing cloud performance and managing cloud costs. You understand how to balance resource allocation with financial efficiency, using autoscaling and monitoring tools to ensure operational effectiveness
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cloud Computing, or a related field. Equivalent experience in cloud architecture may be considered
- Certifications in cloud architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable
Experience Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in IT or cloud architecture, with a strong focus on designing and implementing cloud solutions
- 3+ years of experience in a senior or lead role, architecting cloud infrastructures for large-scale or mission-critical applications
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native tools and container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes or Docker Swarm is highly desirable
