AWS DevOps Engineer
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, particularly in AWS, and experience in managing infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC). This role involves collaboration with software developers, system operators, and other IT staff to manage code releases, automate operational processes, and enhance system performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Automation and CI/CD: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline to automate the deployment process.
- Monitoring and Logging: Set up and manage monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions (e.g., CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana) to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Configuration Management: Use configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef) to manage and provision cloud resources.
- Security: Implement and maintain security best practices in AWS, including identity and access management (IAM), network security, and data protection.
- Disaster Recovery and Backups: Develop and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and failover strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to understand their needs and provide solutions for deployment, scaling, and management of applications.
- Scripting and Automation: Write scripts (e.g., Python, Bash) to automate tasks and manage AWS environments efficiently.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for cloud infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a DevOps role, with at least 2 years focused on AWS.
- Strong experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, CloudFormation, CloudTrail).
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, Ruby, etc.).
- Familiarity with networking concepts and security best practices in cloud environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with serverless architectures and microservices.
- Knowledge of Git and version control systems.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
- Experience with database management and optimization (SQL and NoSQL).
