Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer/Architect to join our dynamic cloud team. As an AWS Cloud Engineer/Architect at Capgemini, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure cloud infrastructure for our clients using Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will work closely with other engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality cloud solutions and ensure the best practices in cloud architecture and security are followed.
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Architecture Design: Design scalable, high-performance, and cost-effective solutions using AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, etc.) in alignment with client requirements.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible.
- Cloud Migration: Assist in the migration of on-premises workloads to the AWS cloud, ensuring smooth transition and minimal disruption.
- Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and secure networking.
- Cost Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize cloud resource usage to ensure cost-efficiency while meeting performance requirements.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with application developers, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure cloud solutions meet technical and business objectives.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Set up and manage monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., CloudWatch, CloudTrail) to ensure system performance and quickly identify and resolve issues.
- Client Engagement: Interact with clients to understand their needs, provide technical expertise, and communicate complex cloud concepts in an understandable manner.
Skills And Qualifications
- Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of AWS services (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, etc.).
- Experience with cloud-native architectures and microservices-based designs.
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with cloud security concepts and tools (IAM, encryption, VPC security, etc.).
- Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus) for performance tracking and alerting.
- Certifications:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional level preferred.
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional (optional but preferred).
- Other relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator) are a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members.

Experience
- 3+ years of experience in AWS cloud infrastructure and architecture design.
