About the Role:
The Digital Integration domain is responsible for APIs supporting device trade-in experiences. The team develops and maintains REST-based microservices used across enterprise platforms. This role leads a cross-functional team of engineers and delivery professionals focused on expanding trade-in capabilities that are critical to customer experience and business strategy. The manager will be responsible for leading platform development, driving roadmap execution, ensuring engineering quality, and mentoring team members. The role requires strong technical acumen, stakeholder engagement, and people leadership.
What You’ll D:
- Lead an engineering team delivering microservices and APIs for trade-in platform capabilities
- Drive execution of product roadmaps and translate business priorities into technical deliverables
- Improve and scale engineering processes, DevOps pipelines, deployment workflows, and system reliability
- Own team hiring, performance management, coaching, and career development
- Oversee vendor engagements and guide third-party engineering efforts when needed
- Ensure high-quality, secure, and performant service delivery with strong monitoring and SRE practices
- Collaborate with architecture, product, and platform teams to align on delivery timelines and dependencies
- Contribute to architecture discussions, backlog prioritization, and delivery tracking
- Foster an engineering culture focused on agility, quality, and continuous improvement
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
- 5-8 years of experience in technical product delivery or engineering management
- Proven experience delivering cloud-native applications using REST APIs and AWS services
- Hands-on understanding of CI/CD practices, deployment automation, and observability
- Experience managing engineers across FTE and contractor models
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and ability to manage iterative delivery cycles
- Strong focus on quality, team enablement, and developer productivity
Must Have Skills:
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation). (AWS and Kubernetes preferred), as well as building components/systems with REST / SOAP API's, Microservices, Spring, Java (preferred).
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, Splunk, New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Exposure to automation frameworks for build, test, and deployment. Experience with various AI use cases and implementation a definite plus.
- Proven ability to effectively and efficiently communicate with Leadership, while employing a high degree of collaboration and influence.
- Skilled at coaching and mentoring team members to build technical depth and leadership capability.
- Experience in building high-performing teams that thrive on accountability, trust, and collaboration.
Nice To Have:
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with source control and branching strategies (Git, GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket).
- Working knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
- Proven ability to lead, recruit, and grow engineering teams, fostering career development, engagement, and inclusion.
- Demonstrated success in resolving conflict, providing constructive feedback, and influencing across teams to drive alignment and results.
