Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with 4+ years of hands-on experience to design, build, and maintain highly available, multi-region infrastructure on AWS. The ideal candidate will own the CI/CD ecosystem, implement GitOps practices, drive observability, and ensure reliability, scalability, and cost optimization across enterprise systems.
This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while collaborating across teams to deliver robust, production-grade solutions.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain multi-region, highly available infrastructure on AWS.
Own and manage the CI/CD ecosystem using tools such as GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and Jenkins X.
Implement and evangelize GitOps workflows with ArgoCD and infrastructure-as-code tools (Crossplane, Terraform).
Build, maintain, and tune observability pipelines using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo, and OpenTelemetry end-to-end.
Lead incident response, conduct blameless post-mortems, and reduce Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR).
Drive chaos engineering experiments to proactively test system resilience.
Automate infrastructure, workflows, and operational processes to improve efficiency.
Perform capacity planning, cost optimization, and ensure responsible resource usage.
Mentor junior engineers and review Terraform and CI/CD pull requests for quality and compliance.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related 4+ years of professional DevOps, Site Reliability, or Cloud Engineering experience.
- Strong experience with AWS cloud services and multi-region deployments.
- Expertise in CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins X.
- Hands-on experience with GitOps workflows and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or Crossplane.
- Experience building observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo, OpenTelemetry).
- Strong incident management and troubleshooting skills, including root cause analysis and post-mortems.
- Experience with chaos engineering and reliability testing.
- Proficiency in automation, scripting, and cloud resource optimization.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and enforce best practices in DevOps workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) preferred.
- Experience with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or OpenShift.
- Familiarity with security best practices and compliance frameworks for cloud environments.
- Exposure to cost optimization frameworks and enterprise-scale cloud deployments.
