We are looking for a skilled and passionate DevOps Coach to join our team on a part-time, remote basis. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in DevOps practices and a strong ability to mentor and guide teams in adopting and implementing DevOps methodologies. As a DevOps Coach, you will play a key role in transforming our organization's development and operations practices to enhance productivity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor and coach cross-functional teams on DevOps principles, practices, and tools to foster a culture of continuous integration, continuous delivery, and operational excellence.
- Assess current DevOps maturity levels across teams and develop tailored coaching plans to drive improvement.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions to enhance teams' understanding and capabilities in areas such as CI/CD, infrastructure as code, containerization, and cloud-native development.
- Guide teams in implementing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.
- Assist in the adoption and implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Provide guidance on best practices for cloud infrastructure management, monitoring, and security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Help teams design and implement scalable and resilient architectures, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery.
- Advocate for and implement effective logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions to maintain system reliability.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and refine DevOps strategies and roadmaps.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements, integrating new approaches and tools into coaching practices.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in DevOps roles, with a strong background in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and automation.
- Proven experience mentoring and coaching teams in DevOps practices.
- In-depth knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, etc.) and practices.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related services.
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, Go, etc.) for automation tasks.
- Solid understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to drive cultural and process changes within teams.
- Knowledge of security best practices in a DevOps context.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.
