Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced AWS Data Engineer to join our team. This role requires hands-on expertise in AWS serverless technologies, Big Data platforms, and automation tools. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing scalable data pipelines, managing cloud infrastructure, and enabling secure, reliable data operations across marketing and analytics platforms.
Must Have Skills:
- Strong AWS Developer [with Cloud formation creation, expert knowledge on Core AWS Services, Dynamo DB, S3, IAM, AWS APls etc..]
- Python and Data Structure expertise
- AWS Serverless App and API development [API Gateways, Lambda functions, ALB, Route 53 etc.]
- Experience with Big data development using AWS Services [AWS Glue, PySpark etc..]
- Experience self driven developer with problem solving and Solutioning skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and deploy automated CI/CD pipelines for data and application workflows.
- Analyze and enhance existing data pipelines for performance and scalability.
- Develop semantic data models to support activation and analytical use cases.
- Document data structures and metadata using Collibra or similar tools.
- Ensure high data quality, availability, and integrity across platforms.
- Apply SRE and DevSecOps principles to improve system reliability and security.
- Manage security operations within AWS cloud environments.
- Configure and automate applications on AWS instances.
- Oversee all aspects of infrastructure management, including provisioning and monitoring.
- Schedule and automate jobs using tools like Step Functions, Lambda, Glue, etc.
Required Experience:
- Hands-on experience with AWS serverless technologies: Lambda, Glue, Step Functions, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Athena, CloudFormation, CloudWatch Logs.
- Proficiency in Confluent Kafka, Splunk, and Ansible.
- Strong command of SQL and scripting languages: Python, R, Spark.
- Familiarity with data formats: JSON, XML, Parquet, Avro.
- Experience in Big Data engineering and cloud-native data platforms.
- Functional knowledge of marketing platforms such as Adobe, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Unica/Interact (nice to have).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
- AWS, Big Data, or DevOps certifications are a plus.
- Experience working in hybrid cloud environments and agile teams.

Salary Transparency:

At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $103330 to $128656/yearly.
This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
